Reji Nair plans film inspired by Delhi gang-rape
12-January-2013
After completing "Aram", Malayalam director Reji Nair is writing a new film inspired by the gruesome Delhi gang-rape. He says the movie won't involve the brutality that the victim had gone through.
The movie will have versions in other Indian languages too.
He aims to showcase the power of youth, and how would have been the life of the 23-year-old victim had she been rescued.
The real life incident involved a young trainee physiotherapist, who was brutally raped by six men in a moving bus in south Delhi Dec 16. She died Dec 29 in a Singapore hospital, where she was being treated for grievous injuries.
The six rapists, including a juvenile, have been arrested and charges, including of murder, have been filed against five of them. - IANS
