No Pakistani participation in World Team Squash Championship
27-July-2019
Upset over the players' high-handedness, the Pakistan Squash Federation (PSF) has decided not to send its national team to the World Team Squash Championship to be held in the US in December.
The development is set to hurt Pakistan -- a six-time Champion, having emerged victorious in 1977, 1981, 1983, 1985, 1987 and 1993.
According to a report on the website of The Nation, the PSF, led by its Chairman Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan, and legendary squash players Qamar Zaman and Jahangir Khan, have decided that the Pakistani team would not take part in the 26th world championship event of the sport.
The PSF is reportedly upset with the players as they were not taking their training sessions seriously, resulting in "below par" results. IANS
