New show to display masterly use of line drawing by master artists

An upcoming exhibition at the All India Fine Arts and Crafts Society (AIFACS), titled "Drawing: A New Chapter" will curate drawings representing a wide range of expressions from across India and feature around 50 artists.
The show will present works of masters like A. Ramachandran, Akbar Padamsee, F.N. Souza, Gulammohammed Sheikh, Jogen Chowdhury, Krishen Khanna, K.G. Subramanyan, Manjit Bawa, Satish Gujral, Seema Kohli and Thota Vaikuntam, among others.
Artists like A. Ramachandran, Satish Gujral and F.N. Souza are not popularly known for their drawings, but their foray into the medium reveals new dimensions of their art practice and lives on.
It will explore how the element of line can spur the creative process, and how it has been used by artists ranging from abstractionists, sculptors, ceramic artists, and painters of different media.
Drawings of emerging artists will also feature exclusively in the show.
