Rajasthan Minister claims to be Lord Ram's descendant
13-August-2019
Soon after the erstwhile royal families of Jaipur and Udaipur and a Congress spokesperson claimed to be the descendants of Lord Ram, the Rajasthan Transport Minister from the ruling Congress government on Tuesday joined this league, claiming that his family members are the descendants of Lord Ram.
Speaking to the media here, state Transport Minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas said: "We are Suryavanshi Rajputs who are known to be the descendants of Lord Ram. No one should have any second thoughts about it. We are descendants of Lord Ram's son Kush."
"In fact, descendants of Lord Ram are spread across the world, which includes my family too," he said, adding that he can provide proof of this to the court, if required.
"Let the court expedite the hearing and pronounce its decision at the earliest," he said.
"Rajawat, Shekhawat and Kuchhwah are all descendants of Lord Ram. The Kushwah clan representing Suryavanshi Rajput were called as Kucchwah", he said.
In response to a Supreme Court query earlier, Jaipur princess Diya Kumari, Mewar royal scion Vishvaraj Singh Mewar and Congress spokesperson Satyendra Raghav have claimed that they are descendants of Lord Ram. IANS
