Solicitor General's wife's phone snatched in Delhi

Even the top law officer's wife is not safe in the national capital as her mobile phone was snatched by two bike-borne miscreants on Sunday evening while she was out for a walk near Mandi House.
According to the police on Monday, Solicitor General of India Tushar Mehta's wife Aparna Mehta was taking a stroll near FICCI auditorium when two miscreants on a bike snatched the mobile phone. They also tried to snatch her chain, but failed, the police said.
According to the Solicitor General of India, Aparna was out for a walk. When she reached near FICCI auditorium around 7.30 p.m. two men snatched her phone. They also attempted to snatch her chain but failed, Mehta said.
The police have registered a case at Barakhamba Road police station and are looking into the matter.
"We are checking the CCTV footage of the area. The complainant has told us that there was no number plate on the bike of the miscreants. While she was not able to see their faces as well," said a senior police officer. IANS
