Depression leads two women to commit suicide

Two women, suffering from depression, allegedly committed suicide in separate incidents here, police said on Monday.
Both the incidents were reported from Mukherjee Nagar area of north Delhi on Sunday, the police said, adding that there is no foul play.
In the first case, Kamlesh Devi, 55, jumped from the third floor of a building in Dhirpur village on Sunday evening.
She was taken to Sant Parmanand Hospital by her family members where she was declared dead, police said, adding that she had been a depression patient for the last 35 years.
In the second incident, Suman Anand, 85, committed suicide by jumping from the third floor of a building in Vijay Nagar on Sunday afternoon, police said.
Police were informed at around 1.15 p.m., following which she was taken to a nearby hospital where doctors declared her dead.
She was a depression patient since the past nine months, police said. IANS
