Subroto Cup: Bengal teams dominate on Day 6

On Day 6 of Subroto Cup International football tournament, Ashokenagar Boys Secondary School, West Bengal, defeated Air Force School 5-0 riding braces by Tathagato Pal and Rajibul Islam and a solitary goal by Md. Jahedi Hasan in a Pool D fixture.
Maintaining the momentum for Bengal schools, in Pool E, SAI, NSEC, Kolkata, registered their first win of the tournament, defeating Government Model High School, Chandigarh, with Alex Ginsuanmung netting the winner.
The quarterfinals will be played from August 26. The teams which have qualified for the last eight stage are: Reliance Foundation School (Mumbai), Estiqlal School (Afghanistan), Bangladesh Krira Shiksha Protisthan, Unique Model Academy (Manipur), Saidan Secondary School (Mizoram), Government Model High School (Chandigarh), Betkuchi High School (Assam) and District War Sepngi Christian High Secondary School (Meghalaya).IANS
