Pak takes foreign media to LoC, 'briefs' them on situation
29-August-2019
As part of its efforts to drum up global attention on Kashmir, the Pakistan army on Thursday took a group of foreign media correspondents to the Line of Control (LoC) in Pakistan occupied Kashmir and "briefed" them about the situation, including on Indian ceasefire violations "deliberately targeting civilians".
"A group of foreign media correspondents in Pakistan visited the LOC. Briefed about situation and Indian ceasefire violations deliberately targeting civilian population.
Correspondents also freely interacted with locals. IOJ&K remains locked down under curfew hiding Indian atrocities," Director General of the Inter Services Public Relations, Maj. Gen. Asif Ghafoor tweeted, along with a video of the event, but minus the audio.
Pakistan has intensified its efforts to highlight the Kashmir issue at every forum, after US President Donald Trump backed off from his offer to mediate on the Kashmir issue and left it to India to handle it, during talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in France last week.IANS
