The Supreme Court on Tuesday issued a notice to Chennai-based professor N. Shanmughan in connection with a contempt petition filed by senior advocate Rajeev Dhavan, alleging that the professor had threatened him for representing the Muslim side in the Ayodhya title dispute case.
The 88-year-old professor would have to make a personal appearance before the court in accordance with the notice issued on the contempt petition.
