Air India to paint Gandhi's image on five aircraft

In a tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on his 150th birth anniversary, Air India will get the image of the 'Father of the Nation' painted on five aircraft.

Gandhi's image will be painted on the tail-end of the aircraft in the next 15 days.

"The Chairman-cum-Managing Director has decided that in the next 15 days the image of Mahatma Gandhi will be painted on tail of (Boeing) 747, 777, 787, 320, ATR," an Air India spokesperson said.

The airline has got a '11x 4.9 feet' image of Gandhi painted on an Airbus A320 aircraft, which flies on the Delhi-Mumbai route.IANS
