15-October-2019
The Farukkhabad police has ordered a departmental probe against a 50-year-old constable, who consumed poison falsely accusing his seniors for rejecting his 15-day leave application.
Sources said Constable Radha Krishna Yadav wanted to take his ailing wife Anita to hospital for cancer treatment.
On Sunday evening, he was found unconscious inside his rented accommodation by his landlord Neeraj Yadav and was rushed to the district government hospital from where he was referred to the Saifai Government Medical College. His condition is now stable," said a local source.
Constable Radha Krishna Yadav hails from Nagla Jaidi village of Bhogaon in Mainpuri district. He allegedly consumed poisonous substance after the authorities rejected his 15-day leave application.
Farukkhabad ASP Tribhuvan Singh said, "On Saturday, the constable had re-joined duty after a few days of leave and he again wanted to go on leave, which was sanctioned on Sunday. From Monday afternoon onwards he was free for the next 15 days, but he consumed poison on Sunday evening, claiming that he was not being allowed to go on leave. This is gross indiscipline and a departmental inquiry has been ordered in the matter."IANS
