E-platform to ease up clearance of sanction plan in SDMC
15-October-2019
In a major relief to residents who are planning to construct a new house, the South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) on Tuesday announced that it has developed an online module for the sanction plan in respect of the low risk residential buildings up to 500sqm under Unified Building Bye Laws 2021.
"The construction permits can be applied on line by using Common Application form and no personal interaction with the MCD offices and officers concerned will be required in any case," a press release by the SDMC said.
"The SDMC has developed a dash board to provide the latest status of each case in order to make sure that the things are moving in the right direction, hence, there is no scope of any delay. Even all payments can be made on line and calculations can also be done with the help of on line calculator," the release added.
Uptill now, this facility was available for residential building plans up to 105 sqm, which has now been extended to 500 sqm.
"At present about 1,491 architects are registered with the system, who can immediately start using this facility and the process could even be completed within a single day itself. Any new architect can get themselves registered through this online system only by completing the registration formalities. This is the first initiative of its kind in any state/UT in the country," the commissioner of SDMC, Gyanesh Bharti said.
