Union Minister launches CCRT's e-portal
21-October-2019
Union Minister for Culture & Tourism Prahlad Singh Patel on Monday launched the e-portal of Centre for Cultural Resources and Training (CCRT) 'Digital Bharat Digital Sanskriti' and CCRT YouTube Channel.
The e-portal aims to explore and understand the unknown aspects of India's lesser-known places and their rural and semi-urban culture. The CCRT has also started to publish books from a series 'Untold Tales of India's Cities.
Speaking about the CCRT e-portal, Patel said, "This will enable dissemination of cultural education through digital interactive medium to classrooms all over the country."
For the initiative, the CCRT has tied up with Routes 2 Roots, an NGO, for connecting all the CCRT Regional Centres -- Guwahati, Udaipur and Hyderabad.
Patel and CCRT chairperson Dr. Hemlata also interacted with the participants of the ongoing training programmes at CCRT Regional Centres and some of the children studying in schools across the country.
"Each and every child has a latent talent which needs to be identified. CCRT should provide a platform for specifically dropout children so that they can join the mainstream and pursue their dreams," Patel said.IANS
