Multi-millionaire, builder off to complete work at hand
09-December-2019
It is not everyday that you have a multi-millionaire working for you as a builder. But those who had hired the services of builder Steve Thomson must be among such lucky few.
Steve, who won the 105 million pound lotto jackpot along with his wife Lenka, has kept his promise and is going ahead with finishing his present customers' jobs despite becoming Britain's ninth-biggest winner in the lottery history.
Their ticket won them 105,100,701.90 pound (about Rs 966 crore or $135 million) on the 25th anniversary of the National Lottery first draw on November 19.
The 42-year-old builder -- who lives in Selsey in West Sussex -- was pictured along with a friend while carrying boxes and driving in his old van to work last week.
A father of three, Steve had been quoted by Mail Online that he would not be giving up his job as a builder immediately.
"Once I am over the shock, I will need to keep doing something, I am not the type just to sit still. My business partner knows that if he needs a hand, I'll be there.
"The thought of sitting around doing nothing -- I couldn't do that, I'm not that sort of person. But after Christmas... I might not be taking on too much more in the near future," Steve was quoted as saying.IANS
