Twitter fans praise Bollywood stars for National Awards

As Vice-President M. Venkaiah Naidu on Monday gave away the National Film Awards in different categories, Twitter users posted congratulatory messages for their movie idols.

#Padman 5,058 Tweets.
While the awards for Best Actors in Feature Films Section went to Vicky Kaushal for 'URI: The Surgical Strike' and Ayushmann Khurana for Andhadhun, Padman won in the Best Film on Social Issues category.
A fan of Akshay Kumar wrote: "Wow! I haven't watched it yet, but need to watch it someday. Congratulations. #PadMan."
Another fan said: "Mango man gets award for Padman."
One fan, however, complained about the awards: "I think the jury for national awards only watch Hindi movies to select the best actor... don't they watch Tamil & Malayalam films? Because they ignore so many talented performances from southern actors...."
One fan of Ayushmann Khurana wrote: "So proud of our Panchkula super actor. Congrats."
Another fan posted: "Andhadhun is a fantastic movie...."
A Twitter user posted a picture of Ayushmann Khurana and wrote: "Mann mein Ayushman -- keh k loonga (In his mind, Ayushmann is saying I will bag the award by openly declaring my intention)."
Superstar Amitabh Bachchan had on Sunday tweeted that he would not be able to attend the function due to ill-health. "Down with fever... ! Not allowed to travel... will not be able to attend National Award (function) tomorrow in Delhi... so unfortunate... my regrets..."
Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar said Amitabh Bachchan will be presented with the Dadasaheb Phalke honour on December 29.IANS
