Cong rehabs Janardan Dwivedi in Delhi, sets up poll panels

Ahead of Delhi Assembly polls, the Congress, here on Tuesday, set up several committees to prepare for elections and has also rehabilitated former General Secretary Janardan Dwivedi as members of the election management committee and the campaign committee.
Dwivedi had been critical of the party on many issues in recent times.
Sandeep Dikshit, son of former Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, has been named member of the election management committee.
According to an AICC release, the Congress chief has approved the Delhi Pradesh Election Committee's proposals on the campaign, manifesto, publicity, election management and media coordination panels.
The 56-member election committee is being headed by DPCC chief Subhash Chopra with Kapil Sibal and J.P. Agarwal as members. As announced, Kirti Azad will head the 157-member campaign committee with A.K. Walia and Krishna Tirath as members.
Ajay Maken has been appointed the manifesto committee chairman, Agarwal the publicity committee chief, Arvinder Singh Lovely chairman of the election management committee.
The media committee will be headed by Mukesh Sharma have Parvez Alam Khan and Allay Mohd as members.
Delhi is set to go to polls early next year.
The Congress is eyeing a comeback after being wiped out of Delhi. Before that it had ruled the state for 15 years.IANS
