Woman killed in UP restaurant

The body of a 20-year-old B. Com second-year student was found in a restaurant in Uttar Pradesh's Hathras, police said.
The body was found on Tuesday. The woman had apparently been strangled by her maternal uncle who wanted to marry her.
According to police, the restaurant's waiter found the victim lying on the sofa and raised an alarm after which the police was called in.
According to the restaurant staff, victim had come with a youth who was later identified as her maternal uncle. He had left the restaurant leaving the girl behind in a cabin.
Hathras Superintendent of Police (SP) Gaurav Banswal said that prima facie it seemed that she was strangled. Her body has been sent for post-mortem.
An FIR has been registered against the accused under section 302 (murder) on the basis of a complaint given by the victim's family members.IANS
