'Female gender ratio in WB higher education institutions up'

The female gender ratio in West Bengal's higher education institutions has gone up to over 47 per cent since 2010-11, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said on Tuesday.
"Today is International Day of Women and Girls in Science. To encourage women to pursue higher education, our government in #Bangla has extended #Kanyashree scheme to the universities. Female gender ratio in higher education institutions in #Bangla has gone up from 42 per cent in 2010-11 to 47.3 per cent," she tweeted. - IANS
