Covid-19 toll 9, number of cases 519: Health Ministry

The total number of coronavirus cases reached 519 in the country on Tuesday till 5.45 p.m, according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
Of this, 470 are active cases, while 39 people have recovered and been discharged from hospitals. The number of coronavirus casualties is 9.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said no new case had been reported in the past 40 hours. "Of the 30 patients, 23 are under treatment. While one person died, others have been cured. We have to understand that the fight is very long. Any moment, the number can increase," he said.
In Maharashtra, the number of cases reached 107 with four casualties. Kerala has reported 91 cases and Karnataka 41, with one death and three recoveries.
According to the Health Ministry, there are 33 cases in UP and 11 people have recovered. West Bengal has reported 9 cases and one casualty, Uttarakhand 3, and Ladakh 13 cases.
Telangana, Punjab, Rajasthan and Gujarat continue to report surge in the coronavirus cases with 35, 29 (one death), 32 and 33 cases, respectively. Manipur reported its first case in the Northeast on Tuesday.
Cases have also been reported from Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Himachal Pradesh and Odisha.
At the airports, 15,24,266 passengers were screened till Tuesday, said the Health Ministry. IANS
