5% increase in DA for Rajasthan govt employees

Amid the ongoing corona crisis, the Rajasthan government on Friday brought good news for the state government employees by announcing an increase of 5% in dearness allowance, raising the DA from 12% to 17%.

The announcement will benefit seven lakh employees of the state and 4.5 lakh pensioners.

The dearness allowance for employees from July 1, 2019 to February 2020 will be deposited in GPF. The remainder will be credited to the April salary.

The Finance Department had sent the file for increase in DA to the Chief Minister this week. After approving, the file was sent back from the CMO to the Finance Department on Friday. IANS
