Woman tests corona positive after giving birth to baby

A woman from Akhnoor, 100 km from Jammu, has tested positive for COVID-19 a day after she gave birth to a baby in a Jammu hospital, officials said.
She is among the 17 positive cases for coronavirus reported from Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday. Officials said the baby is fine.
Total number of COVID-19 positive cases across Jammu and Kashmir has shown a spurt, taking the total tally to 224 on Saturday.
"As many as 17 new cases have been reported in J&K -- 5 from Jammu division and 12 from Kashmir. The total positive cases now are 224," government spokesperson Rohit Kansal tweeted on Saturday.
There are 214 active cases across the Union Territory out of which 174 are from the Kashmir valley and 40 belong to the Jammu region. IANS
