Delhi Metro services: Lack of awareness makes people wait at Blue Line
New Delhi
07-September-2020
The resumption of Delhi Metro services on Monday delivered a sigh of relief to the city travellers, but the lack of awareness also landed some people in trouble in the morning.
On Monday, only the Yellow Line service was restored and for going to Noida, a Blue Line service is required, which has not been started yet. The first train that came from Huda City Centre left from Rajiv Chowk station at 7.40 a.m.
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has only partially started its service and the complete resumption will take place in a phased manner.
But most of the people did not have the information about the availability of the Lines resulting in a bit of trouble for them. Service on the Blue Line will be restored on September 9 while Magenta Line will be available for commuters from September 11. All services will be restored from September 12.
Like Ali, Mahavir Prasad, who works in the Ganga Ram Hospital, was also waiting for the train at Blue Line. "I work in the Ganga Ram Hospital and my shift starts at 7 a.m. But as the Metro is not running on the Blue Line I am facing a problem now," he said.
However, the DMRC had issued the schedule around two weeks ago. - IANS
