Narrato, an AI content creation and collaboration platform, has secured $1 million in a pre-seed funding round led by AirTree Ventures, a leading venture capital firm with investments in tech companies such as Canva, Linktree, Immutable, and Employment Hero.

The funding round also included contributions from TheFund, a community-powered global venture fund, as well as notable angel investors Ruchi Kalra and Bhuvan Gupta, co-founders of OfBusiness, and serial entrepreneur Shreesha Ramdas.

The company plans to use the funds to enhance its platform and invest in marketing to expand further into the US market.

Launched in January 2022 by Sophia Solanki, an experienced entrepreneur with over 16 years in the content and marketing industry, Narrato offers a platform where users can employ generative AI to ideate, create, collaborate, and publish content all in one place.

The startup has already attracted an impressive roster of clients, including Chargebee, Preply, Zepto, Park+, and Rocketlane.

The content marketing sector is predicted to grow by $584 billion between 2022 and 2027. However, due to economic downturns, companies have become more cost-conscious, forcing marketers to produce more content with limited resources.

Narrato addresses this issue by using generative AI as assistive technology to streamline content creation processes.

Sophia Solanki, founder of Narrato, said, "Customers have often told us how difficult and expensive it is to scale their content processes while ensuring both quality and efficiency."

She added that Narrato has been built as an AI-powered content workspace that integrates seamlessly into existing marketing workflows. The platform's AI content assistant helps with ideation, creation, and optimization of text and image content, while workflow and automation features enable teams to work more efficiently and collaboratively.

“At AirTree we love to be right by a founder's side, right from the start of their journey and we’re thrilled to be leading Narrato’s pre-seed round,” said Elicia McDonald, partner at AirTree.

“Having identified the massive opportunity for generative AI in content marketing and already successfully built two companies in this space, Sophia knows the market inside out. She has a strong connection to the problem and has achieved impressive traction for a company at such an early stage, especially considering they’ve bootstrapped to date.”

Content marketing has demonstrated better ROI and cost-effectiveness compared to paid marketing and traditional advertising. Clients such as Preply have reported a 40% increase in content production since adopting Narrato's AI content workspace, the company said. - TWL Bureau
