An MBA from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Ishita Misra sharpened her corporate skills by working in various roles for five years before joining the family business in 2014, focusing on strategy and business development.
Her journey led to the birth of Fonzie Folksy in early 2024—a brand that combines her business experience, creative vision, and passion for the world of scent.
At Fonzie Folksy, the vision is to create perfumes that go beyond passing trends and become timeless expressions of individuality.
Outside perfumery, she enjoys art, travel, and learning languages. Painting helps her express her thoughts, while her exposure to different cultures across India sparked her love for languages. Her time in the southern parts of India inspired her to learn Tamil, and her travels encouraged her to pick up Spanish. Today, she speaks Hindi, English, and Spanish fluently.
Fonzie Folksy is a luxury perfume brand crafted for free-spirited souls who believe in breaking rules, setting trends, and shining like the moon in a sky full of stars. Launched in April 2024, the brand aims to create perfumes that blend with an individual’s unique personality. The key features of the brand include its long-lasting nature, unique and complex scent compositions, and unisex appeal.
The idea for the brand was sparked during a coffee conversation with friends, where Ishita shared her experiences in perfumery. This was followed by two years of research and multiple trials to develop distinct fragrances for the Indian market. The goal was clear—to offer a signature scent in a world filled with similar fragrances.

At Fonzie Folksy, fragrance is seen as a part of one’s personality. It enters a room with the person and lingers after they leave. Each unisex perfume is created to celebrate small joys, big achievements, everyday moments, and, most importantly, the individual.
