The Weekend Leader believes in ethical journalism, praises Heal Foundation founder

The Weekend Leader’s relentless pursuit of positive journalism since its inception in 2010 has won the love and appreciation of its readers from around the country. The portal has carved a niche for itself in the news media space with its focus on positive and inspiring stories from various fields ranging from business and education, to health and environment.
Recognizing its contribution in the field of health, the Delhi-based Heal Foundation, a non-profit working for the cause of improving, innovating and implementing healthcare delivery in the country, has now chosen The Weekend Leader for the Heal Health Honours 2018 award.

The Weekend Leader Editor P C Vinoj Kumar received the award earlier this week at a function held at Radisson Blu Hotel, Delhi, from K G Suresh, director general, Indian Institute of Mass Communication, ministry of information & broadcasting, government of India.
Heal Health Honours are given to leaders who contribute to making India a healthy nation through their innovations, actions and words.
Swadeep Srivastava, Founder, Heal Foundation praised The Weekend Leader’s emphasis on positive journalism. “The Weekend Leader believes in ethical journalism. It encourages budding start-ups, writing about them with full dedication and honesty,” he said.
Vinoj Kumar said the honour only added more responsibility to The Weekend Leader to continue doing its good work.
